As a longtime resident of the Pacific Northwest, I've had the good fortune to live and work in a place where beauty abounds on the smallest to the grandest scales. Inspiration comes constantly--a vase of freshly arranged garden flowers, glassy water reflecting Seattle houseboats, the mosaic of fruits and vegetables adorning Pike Place Market. Images illuminated by brilliant natural light or reflecting the more subtle moods of the Northwest are particularly fascinating to me. For the last several years I’ve devoted myself to painting full time, attempting to capture the special character of our region in watercolor.
