AS OF MARCH 2020 WHILE WE ARE PRACTICING "SOCIAL DISTANCING" TO TRY TO CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF THE CORONA VIRUS, I WILL NOT BE AT THE ART STALL GALLERY, BUT WILL BE MAKING NEW PAINTINGS, AND WORKING ON REVISING MY WEB PAGE. THIS IS CURRENTLY A "WORK IN PROGRESS," SO PLEASE GET IN THE HABIT OF RETURNING TO SEE WHAT HAS BEEN ADDED. (As of March 14 I have just re-labeled a few paintings, indicating some that are still for sale, and a few that are available as prints. In the near future I will add new images.)
I feel one of my roles in life is to share the scenes of beauty I see around me. When I’m with other people I often call out, "Look!" As a painter, I do the same thing, pointing out sights I have enjoyed.
I want to stop the viewer, draw him/her into my painting, to an awareness of what is right with the world. If the viewer’s mind can travel, to new places, or to places visited before, I have done my job right. If I can add to someone’s day an oasis of peace and repose, I am happy.

These paintings are a small sample of my paintings, of various sizes. Some of them have been sold; others are still available. Contact me, or the Art Stall to find out. The images on the top of this page are from a recent Featured Artist of the Month show, Wait! Where Was I? In addition to paintings of Seattle and surrounding country and waters, paintings inspired by travels are included. Most recently was a National Geographic cruise in Southeaast Alaska. I'm sure these paintings are "just the tip of the iceberg.".
You can contact me by email smrtist1@msn.com or by telephone: 206-523-9830.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my paintings. That's why I paint them!
